CursedThis wretched curse, so fierce, so vile,
Has survived the seasons for the while,
And when shaken it stirs not,
When hunted it shant be caught,
Elusive as a fairy,
Though nothing close as merry.
Confusing, haunting,
Unwanted, daunting,
Harking at my chamber,
For life it is remainder,
Twisting body and mind,
Creating deafening and blind.

And here stands the mind of a Hatter,
Cursed with nothing left to shatter
And yet it still persists
Even the darkest of the midsts:
The midsts promised to never unfurl
For it taints the blood of those not churl.

The countdown has started,
The mind has departed
As illusions shall glisten

A Year AgoI can't believe it was a year ago,
that you stole my first kiss.
For once in a long time,
I felt wanted by some one.

A year ago I had my first date,
who really swept me off my feet.
You held me close,
and did not want to let go.

A year ago I was told I love you,
I told it right back to you.
I did not want to leave you,
but we had to go back to class.

Now back to the present,
to where you left me.
We hardly even talk,
just because out of no where,
you went and did this to someone else.

Fake SmileWhat is a smile?
The first thing many people would say is that it represents happiness.
But what if I told you it was the complete opposite.

How am I suppose to expect others to accept me if I can't even accept myself?
I struggle every day trying to hide all my flaws.
But it's only natural for everyone to have some.
The only thing I can do to make myself look better in the face of others is to smile.

What is this feeling burning deeply within my heart?
Is it jealousy, hate, sorrow, despair or all of them combined?
I feel like my soul is chained away somewhere, struggling to brake free.
And I can't seem to find happiness in my life.

The bells are ringing by the old broken-down church
The crowd starts to assemble as the casket is in suspension
Nestled above the bells is a nest where hidden crows perch
The crows start to tremble for even they can feel the tension
The flicker of my cigar burns out as I throw it on the pavement
Walking into the church aside a crowd so depressed
My cigar rolls onto a stone slab of another soul's engravement
The crows have flown away for they have left their nest
And the body in the casket the priest has just blessed

StumblingI'm losing my truths,
Stumbling
Searching for epiphanies
In the same old things

My rhymes are fading out,
Color slowly leaving
Seeing gray in everything
Wondering if this is grieving

The world is collapsing,

That really let me be me

The flow got disrupted,

Waiting for it to pick up
Praying for a spring

I promised you forever
So why can't I have right now?

Back in place somehow.

PainPain is but a thing. It cometh to all of us but some of us can forget.
Pain is but a notion. It is what you let yourself feel when you wont feel anything else.
Pain is but a feeling in the flesh. A mere acceptance of a lack of anything else.
Pain is necessary.

Everyone gets hurt. Everyone feels the pain.
It's a step on each of our paths.
Pain is acceptance of loss.
Pain is necessary.

CircleYou find love at every corner
But life is no more than a circle
Once found, Then lost
Once remembered, Then forgotten
What goes around comes around
A knife piercing my back
Each time going deeper
More pain than the last
Walking forward, ending nowhere
Like climbing a mountain
With no summit
The moon is blinding
The sun is dimming
My circle has grown
With life more meaning

But still I see abyss
The darkness taking over
Now blind by sorrow
All I do is listen

The sounds of knives
Still piercing my back
No corners to run to

Like a CloakI gather all my emotions around me.
I wear them like a cloak
Hooded,
Hiding.
Peering silently out;
My eyes,
Crimson,
Swollen,
Filled with the tears
Of the past.
I wrap my cloak tighter
Like a fortress;

Keeping me safe;
From the enemy

The First ConcertThe outside air was thick and chill
The line was long, wrapped all around
Around the building in which we would enter
Awaiting to see the bands on the bill

Everyone crowding around us
The room was large, dark, filling up fast
Energy jolting from every which way
This special energy, would definitely last.

The first band comes on
No one knowing them by name
They were only "the opening band"
They didn't fit in and were really just lame.

Hatebreed came on, the room filled up once more,
With loudness, excitement, crowded from stage to door
Thrashing began, the pit opened up
Joy, pain, and music filled up everywhere.

One more came

ChoicesA restless night,
a sleepless bed
a child stays awake

Worried for herself
worried for her family
worried for her mommy and daddy

The angered shouts spread to her room

She hugs her teddy bear tight
and wishes she didn'y have to choose

Her mommy says she loves her more than daddy
and says bad things about him
Daddy kisses another women
and tells her not to tell mommy

More yelling

A year passes

She doesn't like the new mommy,
daddy has chosen
She doesn't like the new daddy
mommy has

New mommy asks to see the family picture
she drew

The new mommy wants to know why she's not in the picture

The little girl says
"I choose

My Label/ Hi, My Name Is...Sometimes I think I need to wear a label,
A sticker,
A collar,
A tag…

That will tell you what is wrong with me…

"Hi, My Name Is:
Easily loving, falls to quickly, doesn't know when to stop, tries her best but can't succeed, and only wants to hold someone's hand… to feel that hand on her shoulder when she cries…"

The ink would be smudged across as if written in haste, a couple letters bolded in spots as if trying to fix a mistake…So many mistakes…

The edges would be peeling as if to forget I ever existed all together…
Sometimes, I think I need to wear a warning…

Apple Tree

There on top of the hill,
sits a little apple tree.
With the best one you will ever see,
but on the inside is sour.
Then there is little neglected ugly me,
who has a taste as sweet as can be.

Everyone wants to pick the other,
while no one looks at me.
They go to her every day,
I just sit and rot away.

One time someone saw me,
but just threw a rock my way.
Just some days,
I wish I was the other apple.

Then finally one day,
someone stops and looks at me.
Really looks and doesn't cause pain.
My only question is,
will I finally be picked over the other?
